DESCRIPTION:Do you love the events at Holmes Run Pool? Help make sure they continue to be offered!\nHolmes Run Pool is a member owned organization. It is what it is today because of the amazing heart that members have put into it over the years. You too can help make a difference! \nWe host many social activities for our community ranging from casual events like movie nights and steak nights to annual special events like our Midsummer Gala & Crab Feast and Fall Party & Pig Roast. We also coordinate weekly Food Trucks. It takes many hands and planners to make these events happen. Our Activities chair is seeking committee members to help plan\, host\, and help at this season’s events. Hosts receive a small perk in exchange for their time (event ticket or complimentary guest passes\, depending on the event) and it is also wonderful way to get to know other members. \nFill out our Volunteer Interest Form and attend the Volunteer Interest Meeting on Saturday\, April 6 from 3 pm to 5 pm to get involved.

During this meeting the HRARA Board of Directors (BOD) will review their accomplishments within the last year\, provide an update of the pool’s status\, and outline future plans. At the conclusion of the meeting\, a light dinner will be provided courtesy of the pool. \nAs is customary\, elections for a new BOD will take place prior to the meeting. If anyone is interested in joining the BOD\, please send an email\, by August 2\, 2019\, to Jim Davey\, the current HRARA Secretary\, via secretary@holmesrunpool.org. Let him know of your interest and provide a brief biography. \nOur BOD is composed of nine (9) to fifteen (15) volunteers serving two-year terms of office. Each Director typically takes a committee chair position\, although there are some at-large members. The established committees consist of: Activities; Engineering; Finance; Landscaping; Membership; Operating; Planning; Publications; Swim Team. Board meetings are conducted the third Tuesday of every month. We will be sending out the ballot of nominees a few weeks before the August 24 meeting.
