Don’t miss this favorite annual event. \nDinner features a slow roasted pig\, lovingly grilled on site all day by our own member chef Jim Wright with the assistance of Mark Sites\, accompanied by homemade vegetarian chili\, mac-n-cheese\, baked beans\, coleslaw\, and dessert. Apple cider and beer will be available. Feel welcome to BYO any other favorite beverages. \nKids are invited to hunt for and then decorate a mini-pumpkin that they can take home with them. There will also be marshmallows to roast! \nNEW THIS YEAR! Find a partner and participate in a three-legged race! \nNon-member friends are welcome. It is what it is today because of the amazing heart that members have put into it over the years. You too can help make a difference! \nWe host many social activities for our community ranging from casual events like movie nights and steak nights to annual special events like our Midsummer Gala & Crab Feast and Fall Party & Pig Roast. We also coordinate weekly Food Trucks. It takes many hands and planners to make these events happen. Our Activities chair is seeking committee members to help plan\, host\, and help at this season’s events. Hosts receive a small perk in exchange for their time (event ticket or complimentary guest passes\, depending on the event) and it is also wonderful way to get to know other members. \nFill out our Volunteer Interest Form and attend the Volunteer Interest Meeting on Saturday\, April 6 from 3 pm to 5 pm to get involved.

DESCRIPTION:A Hurricanes swim meet will take place in the lower pool. The lower pool\, upper deck\, and middle deck close at 4:00 PM to set up for the meet. The upper pool will remain open for member use. Members are welcome to cheer on our swimmers and enjoy dinner concessions available at Hurricane Cafe on the middle deck. \nHurricanes swimmers\, please note: During swim meets\, any swimmer from either team is not permitted to use the upper pool\, baby pool\, playground\, basketball court\, or foosball area.  Those areas are reserved for HRARA members (but not swim team swimmers\, even if they are done swimming for the meet).

DESCRIPTION:Are you a fanatic for fun facts? Assemble your dream team and head down to the pool to show off those trivia skills. Questions will span a wide variety of categories: from Elvis to Olivia Rodrigue\, from Kahlo to Feynman\, from Patton to Zelenskyy\, and from the Scoville scale to the Richter scale so multigenerational teams whose players have wide interests may have an edge. If you don’t have a team\, come down anyway and we’ll do our best to match you with another partner or two. Teams can be 2-4 players of any age (max on any team is 4). The Grand Prize winning team will win free tickets to the Fall Pig Roast. It’s no fun playing on an empty stomach so\, of course\, tacos will be served!  We will offer a beef\, chicken and vegetarian taco bar with Mexican rice and coleslaw\, plus all the toppings\, including Laura’s famous homemade guacamole. The taco bar opens at 5 pm and trivia battle will start at 6 pm. \nPlease purchase your tickets by Tuesday\, June 25 to help our hosts better plan for this event.
