Annual Shareholders’ Meeting & Dinner
Saturday, August 24, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
All members are invited and encourage to attend. Even if you’ve never attended before, please come! You will have a chance to hear from the Board about the season and more. In what may be as fun as grilling steaks at the pool, you will have the opportunity to grill our Board of Directors about what they have been up to and learn about future plans. A complimentary light dinner will be served following the meeting for all who attend, and we will be showing a family movie on the lawn after dinner.
The annual meeting of the Holmes Run Acres Recreation Association (HRARA) shareholders will be held at the pool in the evening on Saturday, August 24, 2019. During this meeting the HRARA Board of Directors (BOD) will review their accomplishments within the last year, provide an update of the pool’s status, and outline future plans. At the conclusion of the meeting, a light dinner will be provided courtesy of the pool.
As is customary, elections for a new BOD will take place prior to the meeting. If anyone is interested in joining the BOD, please send an email, by August 2, 2019, to Jim Davey, the current HRARA Secretary, via firstname.lastname@example.org. Let him know of your interest and provide a brief biography.
Our BOD is composed of nine (9) to fifteen (15) volunteers serving two-year terms of office. Each Director typically takes a committee chair position, although there are some at-large members. The established committees consist of: Activities; Engineering; Finance; Landscaping; Membership; Operating; Planning; Publications; Swim Team. Board meetings are conducted the third Tuesday of every month. We will be sending out the ballot of nominees a few weeks before the August 24 meeting.
