Reservation and Facility Use Policies

(Last updated on July 5, 2020)

Reservations are required to visit the pool. Do not come to the pool without a reservation.

  • Pool sessions are 90 minutes. Each session is followed by a 30 minute facility cleaning.
  • Members may reserve up to two swim sessions per week, per member in the household’s membership. For example, a family membership consisting of four individuals may reserve two sessions per person, for a total of no more than eight sessions within a one-week period. We will not be able to guarantee members a minimum number of sessions per week.
  • The online reservation system is the best way to make a reservation. However, reservations may also be made by calling the pool front desk at (703) 560-2750.
  • Same day reservations will not count against your weekly allocation.
  • Physical “walk-ins” without a reservation are not available. Do not come to the pool without a reservation.
  • As a courtesy to all members who want to swim, please remember to cancel any reservations you will not be using.

Reservations are made through eSoft Planner, which is the same system members use to pay for membership dues and schedule swim lessons. The system will allow you to make reservations for one week out.

Make a Reservation

  1. Log in to eSoft Planner by clicking the “Reserve Your Swim Sessions Now” button above. Follow the system instructions if you have forgotten your username or password.
  2. Click “Home” on the top menu.
  3. You will see the calendar for the Upper Pool, Lower Pool, Baby Pool, and Deck Chairs with available and unavailable times marked off.
  4. Click ahead by day to view availability for each day.
  5. When you are ready to make your reservation(s), click “Rent a Location.”
  6. Choose your date and what you would like to reserve. The duration of your session is automatically selected.
  7. NOTE: When signing up for Lap Swimming in the Upper Pool, the online reservation system will only offer a 15 minute Rental Duration as a choice even though the lap swim session is 45 minutes. This is to enable the scheduling of two consecutive 45 minute lap swimming sessions within each 90 minute period that the pool is open.
  8. Click “View Availability.”
  9. Available times are noted by a blue icon that looks like a grocery cart. Click the icon for the time you’d like to start your reservation. After clicking the icon, it will be added to your “shopping cart.”
  10. You may now either add more dates/times. Reminder: You may reserve only two swim sessions per week per individual on your membership. A Board member will be moderating the reservation calendar.
  11. When you have finished making your week’s reservations, click “View My Cart” at the bottom of the page.
  12. Review your selections and click “Continue to Checkout.”
  13. Click checkout to finish. Note: You will NOT be charged any money for reservations.

  • COVID-19 Screenings: ON THE DAY of EACH use of the facility, members MUST be screened either online or in person (not over a phone call).
  • Masks: All members are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering at all times except when swimming.
  • Physical Distancing: All members must maintain ten feet of physical distance from other members outside of their household while using the facility whether in or out of the pool.
  • Restrooms: We ask that all members use the restroom and shower prior to coming to the pool to swim. Bathrooms may be used if necessary.
  • Food and Drinks: The vending machines and water fountain are out of service at this time. Members may bring a personal water bottle with them to the pool if desired.
  • Two families may reserve the Baby Pool per session.
  • Deck chairs are not available for use at this time.

  • The Upper Pool is for lap swimming only.
  • Lap swimming sessions in the Upper Pool are 45 minutes.

  • Three lanes are available for lap swimming; one lane is reserved for sunbathers to use for dipping in and cooling off.
  • Lanes may have up to 3 swimmers. If a member chooses to share a lane with family on their membership or another member, they may make the reservation in their name on behalf of themselves and up to two additional people. The reservation of that lane will only count as one reservation allocated for that member, not the number who will be using the lane.

  • Members will not be asked to share a lane with someone else without their consent.
  • Non-swimming adults accompanying a child need to reserve a sunbathing spot.
  • Members must maintain ten feet of physical distance from other swimmers. It is accepted that swimmers will pass each other in the water while swimming laps.
  • Although lap swimming sessions are 45 minutes, lap swimmers may remain on the grounds to use the lawn until the current 90 minute pool session is over.
  • The Lower Pool is available for open swim and diving.
  • There are 12 slots available per session.
  • Non-swimming adults accompanying a child need to reserve a sunbathing spot.
  • Members must maintain ten feet of physical distance from other swimmers.

  • Deck chairs are positioned ten feet apart. Members may move deck chairs to be closer to other members of their household but must return them to their original place at the end of the session.
  • Members may not change chairs during a session.
  • Members should sanitize the deck chairs before and after use.

  • The lawn is open for use by members with swimming or sunbathing reservations.
  • Members may bring their own chairs or place blankets/towels on the lawn.
  • A limited number of tables will be placed on the lawn for members to use.
  • Members should sanitize the tables before and after use.
  • Members must maintain ten feet of physical distance from others.
